My experiences in EME2040 My experience throughout this semester in this course has been quite engaging. In class, I enjoy learning different concepts and software to use as an educator in the future. I also enjoy having time in class to work on presentations and assignments, which many classes don't do. As an educator, to improve a classroom, it's essential to have students feel comfortable asking questions and enjoy learning new things. Open educational resources (OER) Open educational resources are helpful to use and have. These resources are published for the public and include a resource that involves education. Open educational resources can be used for classroom and research with no copyright restrictions. OER Commons is a great website that helps find open educational resources based on the criteria you need. The website also includes a video module to help viewers learn how to use it and find accurate resources. Assignment 4: PowerPoint for Information Dissemination Assignment 4 taught me more about how to use Microsoft PowerPoint and add more details to create an engaging PowerPoint for students. For instance, using different slide layouts and creating images accurate to the lesson plan helps keep the PowerPoint engaging. Additional assignment 4 had a lot of different aspects that can be used as an educator. The only thing I would change from this assignment was the audio portion, it was quite time-consuming to get that right.

 Diigo Before taking this course, I have never used Diigo, so this is my first experience with the software. I found Diigo to be a creative tool to connect with other classmates and be able to provide websites that are accurate to the course materials. For instance, being able to post educational software that other people can see gives me an idea about future software to use as an educator. I also found Diigo helpful in staying organized with different websites. Blogging Using Blogging is also a new experience for me. I found Blogger quite challenging at first, but getting used to it during our weekly blog post has helped me become familiar with the software. I have learned how to post a blog, post pictures, and be able to see my classmate's posts. Blogger is a great platform to share your thoughts and be able to post information. My Microsoft Word Experience  Throughout my years of school, I used Microsoft Word for most of my assignments and projects, mainly in my upper level of education. In my experience with Microsoft, I find it quite helpful software to create essays and other lengthy assignments, K-12 my main experience was taking a computer class in the tenth grade and first learning how to use the software. This helped set up my other core knowledge with Microsoft and made it easier for my other classwork. Also using Microsoft Word at FSU has helped me create more types of projects, for example, our newsletter assignment. The only other software I have used in the past is Google Docs, which is also helpful software but doesn't have as many designs or tools as Microsoft has.   ISTE Standard for Educators ISTE is short for International Society for Technology in Education, and it is broken down into five different standards.
